Jamie Posnanski has been appointed CEO at independent global media and creative advisor, mediasense. Posnanski, who was one of the key drivers behind Accenture Song’s disruptive rise to become the world’s largest digital agency network, is the successor to mediasense Co-Founder and current CEO, Graham Brown. Brown will become the company’s Executive Chairman.
Posnanski’s entrepreneurial drive led to him found avVenta, a pioneering digital agency that was acquired by Accenture Interactive (now Song) in 2012. Posnanski became a senior executive, responsible for growing the agency’s content, digital media, personalization, CRM, commerce and marketing operations, helping to build the Division into a $12B digital agency. Posnanski and his team led modern-marketing transformation programmes for many of the world’s largest brands, helping clients unlock value from marketing investments across media, content, tech, and data. Posnanski was also a key figure behind Accenture Song’s multiple acquisitions and integrations.
Jamie’s proven leadership record, industry knowledge and expertise make him the “ideal” successor to lead mediasense into and through its next phase of growth, according to Graham Brown. He will build on the company’s recent acquisitions of creative and media advisory specialists R3, and PwC’s Media advisory team, which have together seen mediasense increase staff numbers to over 230, and significantly expand its global footprint in North America and Asia.
Posnanski will oversee mediasense’s continued service, footprint and capability enrichment as the firm builds from its market-leading position in media operations, to add complementary solutions that will support clients to address related challenges across adjacent marketing categories, including content, data, technology and automation.
Graham Brown, who co-founded mediasense in 2009, says: “I am delighted to have found my successor and am excited to have attracted such a talent as Jamie to mediasense. His strategic vision and proven leadership skills, combined with his wealth of experience and integrity make him the ideal person for this role.
Not only has Jamie helped clients address the most complex marketing challenges on a global scale, but he also has first-hand knowledge of what it takes to successfully bring a company at our stage of development through the next phases of growth.
I am looking forward to supporting Jamie as we grow our global presence and build more expansive and innovative services for our global client base.”
Jamie Posnanski says: “I am thrilled to join the talented team at mediasense and build upon such an impressive legacy. With the addition of PWC’s media unit and now with the R3 acquisition, I believe we are incredibly well positioned to help clients fuel growth by optimising returns across an even broader scope of media and marketing investments.”
