THE ROLE

This role is for a Senior Analyst, based in London.

The role itself will involve a range of activities including:

  • Working autonomously on projects to implement and carry out media performance tracking analysis using MediaSense’s proprietary tool set – full training will be given
  • Working alongside managers and client teams to help develop in-depth media campaign evaluations, supporting more junior members of the team.
  • Playing a key role in the analytics of pitch management projects to evaluate media buying offers & identify issues in proposed offers to contribute to negotiation briefs.
  • Substantial data processing of large sets of UK and International market data, ensuring data is theoretically correct and raising any key issues with Managers, while training more junior members of the team in this process.
  • Leading communication with agencies to address issues with the quality of market data and performance tracking workings to ensure our analysis is fair and logical. Working with managers and directors to ensure the agency is held to account on agreed timelines.
  • Helping with a wide variety of tasks on an ad-hoc basis to support the ongoing growth of our company.
  • Keeping informed of the latest developments across the media & marketing landscape, supported by internal & external training opportunities.


THE CANDIDATE

You are a media professional with a moderate level of experience working for a media agency, media owner, media auditor or similar. You have great knowledge of key market channels including, but not limited to TV, OOH, Radio and Digital, and are enthusiastic about keeping up to date with developments in media. You have keen analytical skills and are able to analyse and interrogate data to derive insights for stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • A deep understanding of the UK media market.
  • Very good knowledge of all media channels (online and offline) and excellent theoretical understanding of all the data parameters we would request from the agency in our post buy templates.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
  • Experience using Tableau/Alteryx is a bonus!
  • Able to demonstrate experience in spotting patterns and trends in large data sets to extract relevant insights.
  • An understanding of “media maths”; familiar with a range of numbers and data types used across the media industry. Plus, able to quickly & confidently apply these to relevant scenarios.
  • A pro-active, positive attitude to work and a curious mindset & a desire to learn.
