The Role
This role is for a Consultant, based in Singapore.
This is a role that is responsible for leading commercial analysis, fee benchmarking, and financial compliance projects across local and global clients. Close collaboration with directors, senior consultants and the analyst team is essential to ensure mediasense delivers consistently high-quality work within agreed timelines.
The role itself will involve a range of activities including:
Commercial Analysis & Compliance
- Support directors and senior consultants in delivering commercial and financial consulting scopes for clients across multiple markets.
- Lead commercial evaluation preparation and analysis in clients’ pitch management projects.
- Coordinate with advertising agencies to obtain commercial proposals, track progress, and ensure submissions are accurate and complete.
- Analysis of agency fee proposals, fee benchmarking, review contract terms, and identify negotiation opportunities.
- Liaise with client and agency teams to clarify commercial assumptions, validate inputs, and support negotiation process.
- Support the refinement of internal benchmarking tools, templates, and workflows to drive consistency and efficiency.
- Lead financial compliance audits through document reviews, walkthroughs, and summarisation of findings.
- Prepare clear, structured analysis and contribute to client-ready reports and presentations.
- Maintain organised working papers, documentation, and structured storage of project data.
Scope Tracking & Reconciliation
- Help clients to customise reconciliation templates to track client scope utilisation.
- Collect, validate, and analyse data from agencies, identifying discrepancies and following up on clarifications.
- Prepare clear analysis of budget vs actual utilisation, and identify key drivers of variances.
- Highlight reconciliation findings, risks, and potential agency fee impacts in a structured and client-ready format.
- Track follow-up actions and support consultants in subsequent review cycle/period.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Strong understanding of audit principles, financial controls, and commercial evaluation.
- Excellent analytical skills — able to structure data, identify patterns, and extract meaningful insights.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Query, Power Pivot and PowerPoint; able to build robust, transparent analytical models.
- Excellent communication and stakeholders management skills, with the ability to clearly express commercial issues, findings, and practical recommendations.
- A positive, proactive mindset that balances speed with quality and accuracy.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively across markets and time zones.
- Experience supervising analysts and reviewing outputs, providing structured guidance, coaching, and quality assurance to ensure consistent delivery standards.
- Demonstrated ability to support the development of junior team members through on-the-job coaching and feedback.
- Prior experience (5–8 years) in Audit, Management Consulting, Commercial/Financial Analysis, or Data Analytics.
- Experience in Advertising/Marketing industry, and/or working with regional teams, is an advantage.
- Demonstrates integrity, reliability, and strong organisational discipline.
- Experience in dashboarding and data visualisation (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio or similar tools) is an advantage.
