The Role

This role is for an Associate Consultant (Analytics) based in India.

An Associate Consultant has strong knowledge across all media channels. They combine excellent analytical and organizational skills with a logical approach to problem-solving. Energy, enthusiasm, loyalty, and a ‘muck in’ attitude are key attributes.

This is an important role in managing the delivery of project and retainer work. Close collaboration with analysts, project leads, and client leads is essential to ensure mediasense delivers high-quality work within the agreed time frame. They will have a superb grasp of media maths, data, and analytics; strong account management and organizational skills; excellent report-writing abilities; and technical proficiency across the Office suite of products to deliver consistently exceptional outputs.

The role itself will involve a range of activities including:

  • Leading a team of analysts to deliver various types of media performance analyses across multiple media channels (on and offline).
  • Working on pitch management projects in terms of evaluation of media agency offers and capabilities and producing client ready outputs in Tableau.
  • Communicate with agencies to ensure projects are set up to succeed, establishing project timelines and ways of working, and ensuring the agency is held to account on these agreements.
  • Working closely with the larger analytics team to keep them informed of progress and highlighting any major issues in good time that might hinder a projects progress.
  • Overall output quality responsibility, ensuring aligned analyses are theoretically correct and presentations are client-ready.
  • Line management and training of analysts. Regularly catching up to ensure direct reports feel heard and helping them find a solution to any potential issues.
  • In depth analysis and evaluation of digital and offline media campaigns providing supporting observations, insights and recommendations to drive improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of the delivery.
  • Working with visualisations of client data to identify key performance trends and data signals.
  • Tracking agency pitch commitments to clients through both quantitative and qualitative data checks.
  • Supporting pitch management projects to help clients evaluate agency capabilities, propositions, process submissions and commercial offerings.
  • Providing ongoing knowledge updates to internal teams on current and emerging media practices.

The Candidate

You are a media professional with digital/offline media experience from a media agency, ad-tech, consultancy, client-side or similar. Ideally, we’re looking for someone who is interested in how media is planned and traded, very good with numbers, but also creative enough to produce interesting visualisations and have good ideas about how to present data. Accuracy is key, as is the ability to work to and juggle deadlines. Above all, we’re looking for people who fit in well with a close-knit team and want to make a difference at every level.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • A minimum of 7 years’ media experience from a Media Agency or Media Audit background with specific expertise in ideally more than one of the following channels: Offline media, Programmatic, Paid Search, Paid Social, Retail, or Digital Planning
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power Point. Using these tools to structure data in a clear and methodical way and spotting patterns and trends in the data to extract relevant insights
  • Ability to quickly pick up new tools and programs
  • A positive and productive attitude and being able to proactively find solutions to problems, constructively balancing the speed and quality of delivery.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly across different audiences and varying levels across mediasense
  • Prior experience within a media role
  • Familiarity or experience with raw data from some digital or TV platforms (e.g. DV360, Google Ads/SA360, Meta Business Manager, Amazon Ads Manager, verification tools, or TV spot lists and other offline data sets).
  • Strong analytics capabilities for extracting insight from complex data sources.
  • Excellent organisation skills with strong attention to detail and a logical approach.
  • A self-starter with a sense of autonomy and initiative, who is also able to work well independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead workstreams from start to completion.
