The role

MediaSense is a trusted media advisory partner to some of the world’s leading brands. We specialise in advising clients across all aspects of their media supply chain; their agency, their media & technology partners, and their internal operating model. We are a challenger to the legacy media auditor, consultant and pitch advisory players of the marketing communications consultancy sector offering intelligent, mature and high value advice on business and media challenges.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

A confident communicator, with excellent presentation skills and at ease liaising with both agencies and clients.

The Consultant is responsible for day-to-day account management, maintaining good relationships with key day to day client contacts and working closely with the client lead. This role reports into the Client Director.

The role comprises of a wide range of activities:

Client & project management (focused on wider account management as well as specific project management on Partners projects)

  • Ensure that a project plan is in place, status calls (internal / external) are scheduled, and team members are properly briefed
  • Ensure team members are regularly informed and challenged, and closely work with the relevant analytics leads regarding analytics deliverables
  • Support the client lead managing the day-to-day client relationship, ensuring client contacts are engaged with on a regular basis and meetings are properly documented and actioned
  • Provide progress updates to the client leads and support them as and where required
  • Anticipate and timely raise problems with client leads relating to deliverables, our scope of work and client or agency relationships
  • Help the client lead with administrative aspects of the relationship with those clients (fee proposals, contract, NDA, invoicing schedule, payment details, etc.)

Delivery of tasks and team management

  • Work with the client lead to manage the team servicing the client and coordinate resource across the project(s)
  • Work with the client lead to prepare insightful and relevant reports and outputs, and (co-) present the information to clients
  • Work with different client teams to implement and carry out a variety of projects across clients in a timely fashion and delivering the best output possible
  • Ensure agency relationships are smooth and efficient, and interactions are documented and actioned
  • Support and train junior team members, helping them gain understanding of non-analytical elements of Partners processes and gain confidence interacting with agencies and clients
  • Ensure the work is delivered as efficiently as possible and inefficiencies are addressed, suggesting improvements to our ways of working where needed

Business development

  • Promote other existing services to clients and support the development of new business proposals
  • Participate in new business pitches, supporting the preparation and presentation of proposals

Knowledge management

  • Actively contribute to and support the continuous updating of our Pitch Library and general knowledge sharing across the business

  • Independent, self-motivated, and hard working with strong attention to detail
  • Very organised with a track record in delivering large-scale projects, with the ability to manage up and down internally, with third parties and clients
  • Ability to craft and present an engaging story, in written documents and PowerPoint
  • Clear and methodical approach to processing, arranging and extracting information
