The role

MediaSense is a trusted media advisory partner empowering leading global and domestic brands to unlock value and make more informed decisions with their media. We specialize in advising clients across all aspects of the media supply chain; their agencies, their media & technology partners, and their internal operating model. We are a challenger to the legacy media auditor, consultant and pitch advisory players of the marketing communications consultancy sector offering intelligent, mature and high value advice on business and media challenges.  An exciting opportunity has become available to be part of our growing North American team.

 

THE ROLE

The ideal candidate will have the following:

12+ years of experience working in client-side, agency, or consulting roles with strong knowledge of the marketing, media and agency industries.  A self-starter who is motivated to join a growing company and prepared to actively participate in driving that growth.

The Client Director is responsible for day to day management of the relationship with a number of our clients, for coordinating the resources needed to service those clients and for managing business development efforts, both with existing clients and new prospects

The role comprises of a wide range of activities:

Client & project management

  • Manage the day-to-day client relationship, ensuring client contacts are engaged with on a regular basis and meetings are properly documented and actioned
  • Ensure that project plans are in place, status calls (internal / external) are scheduled and team members are properly briefed
  • Ensure team members are regularly informed and accountable for deliverables, working closely with the relevant analytics leads and support teams in London and Mumbai
  • Anticipate and raise issues with client leads relating to deliverables, our scope of work and client or agency relationships; develop solves and appropriate course of action
  • Manage operational aspects of the relationship with those clients (fee proposals, contract, NDA, invoicing schedule, payment details, etc.)

Project delivery and team management

  • Advise clients and lead delivery of projects, bringing strong knowledge of their business, organization, and specific requirements
  • Prepare insightful and relevant reports and presentations, with input and approval from business/client lead, and present the information to clients
  • Work with the client lead to manage the team servicing the client and coordinate resource across the project(s) to ensure delivering high quality outputs
  • Ensure agency relationships are smooth and efficient, and interactions are documented and actioned
  • Support and train junior team members, helping them gain understanding of the Models and Partners processes and gain confidence interacting with agencies and clients
  • Ensure that work is delivered as efficiently as possible and any project gaps or impediments are addressed, suggest improvements to ways of working as needed

Business development

  • Promote other existing services to clients and support the development of new business proposals
  • Participate in new business pitches, supporting the preparation and presentation of proposals

Knowledge management

  • Actively contribute to and support the continuous updating of Models and Partners library of work, and general knowledge sharing across the business
